On June 5, at the initiative of the Sports and Youth Affairs Committee in Bolnisi Municipality public discussion of the draft of the Law on Physical Education and Sports was held.

Mikheil Kavelashvili, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Mikheil Giorgadze, Minister of Culture and Sport of Georgia, Governor of Kvemo Kartli Grigol Nemsadze, Bolnisi Mayor Davit Sherazidishvili and representatives of the municipalities of the region participated in the event.

The central and local authorities together with the interested persons discussed the draft law on "Physical Education and Sport" drafted by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

It should be noted that the views expressed in the consultation will be submitted to the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

This process envisages public consultations with all stakeholders and target groups - central and local authorities, sport organizations, civil society, international and donor organizations, private sector, media representatives, independent experts and other interested persons.
