State Representative-Governor’s office is a structural unit of administration which uses the Constitution of Georgia, The Law of Georgia on the Structure, Authority and Rules of Operation of the Government of Georgia and other legislative and sub-legal acts and The Statute of the State Representative-Governor as a guide.
Basic functions of the office:
The organizational support of the administrative activities as well as the management of the unified proceedings (including the secret information) and the maintenance of the archival documents.
Preparing individual administrative legal acts, resolutions and project letters of the State Attorney-Governor and the maintenance of the proper registry.
Examination of the citizens’ proposals, applications and complaints and providing access to the public information.
Legal support for the activities of the State Attorney-Governor’s Administration.
Preparing legal act projects concerning the appointment, shifting (transferring), dismissal, disciplinary sanctions and incentives, leaves and the business trips of the administrative staff in accordance with the established rules for the purpose of the human resource management. Composing personal files of the staff.
Ensuring the connection of the media, non-governmental other public organizations with the State Attorney-Governor’ administration.
Informing the society about the activities of the State Attorney-Governor and the administration of the State-Attorney Governor.
Monitoring the implementation of the instructions given by the State Attorney-Governor.
The preparation and organizational and technical maintenance of the planned meetings, councils, commissions and the working group sessions with the State Attorney-Governor.
Obtaining information about the current important events and submitting the information to the State Attorney-Governor and corresponding authorities.
The coordination and control of the execution of Georgian legislative and sub-legal normative acts.
Material and technical support of the functioning of administration.
Drafting projects about the administrative budgetary appropriations.
Conducting bookkeeping and preparing a list of expenditures.
Executing state purchases for the purpose of the providing the administration with material-technical resources.

Basic functions of the office for the relations with local self-government bodies:
Preparing recommendations and proposals for maintaining the implementation of state supervision on the military registration adoption and compulsory military conscription process of the citizens for the State Representative-Governor, also coordinated actions with the Military Drafting Commissions;
Participating in the activities concerning the improvement of the defensive capabilities and the implementation of the civil defense, as well as contributing towards the implementation of military training assemblies and organizing military training activities.
Organizing consultations with the local self-government units about certain issues upon the request of the Government of Georgia or the relevant Ministry.
The support of the implementation of local self-government reform, analysis and preparation of recommendations upon the request of the Government of Georgia.
Preparing relevant information and recommendations for the State Representative-Governor within the competence.
