On April 13, the initiative of the governor of the region, Grigol Nemsadze, was organized in the municipalities of the region to popularize Kvemo Kartli tourism potential and improvement of relevant infrastructure, in order to maximize public awareness about already implemented and planned projects. Within the scope of the event, journalists from central and local televisions, printed media and online editions visited historic-cultural monuments and tourist attractions.

The participants of the medieval together with the heads of the region and municipalities visited the sights of Dmanisi and Bolnisi. The journalists were familiar with the first European homeland, the history of the historical museum and the Dmanisi settlement, in Bolnisi municipality, unique, historical, monuments, Bolnisi Sioni and Tsugurmzasheni monastery. Later, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani's museum was also visited in Tandzia. Medieval, Elijah Mountain, St. Paul and Peter were visited by the apostolic monastery complex.

Grigol Nemsadze, Governor of Kvemo Kartli, has informed the participants of the event with the information about the activities to be implemented in the direction of tourism development. The discussion touched upon the planned forum forum, which will be held at the end of the month.

"Our administration is intensively working towards tourism development. At the most recent period, a large-scale tourist forum will be conducted together with the National Tourism Agency, where we will consider tourism potential of the region and will be specific measures for development of this direction. One of the main priorities of our activities is to arrange and regulate the relevant infrastructure in municipalities. Several important projects have already been implemented, some of them are in progress. I would like to note that municipalities are actively working on the 19-21 year old plan of development of the region, where the necessary works for tourism development will be taken into consideration. The goal of today's mediator is to popularize our region. It is important that the public about the available resources should be maximally informed.
