The events dedicated to the anniversary of Rustavi anniversary, 70th, were officially opened on January 19th.The event was attended by Rustavi  Metropolitan Ioane (Gamrekeli), Kvemo Kartli state Governor Grigol Nemsadze and Mayor Irakli Tabaghua together with central and local government officials. 

The Governor viewed the thematic exhibition specially prepared for this day at the Theater Foyer and talked about the importance of the event:

"On 19th of January 1948, Rustavi was officially granted the status of the city and started a new stage of development in the city, which is still active.The priority of our government is promotion of rapid development and works in Rustavi as well as in the Kvemo Kartli region center are actively implemented. It is symbolic that the anniversary event of Youth and Friendship is under active involvement of new generation representatives.They know the history of the city very well and try to contribute to the future development of Rustavi in the field of knowledge and experience.I would like to thank the organizers and participants of the event.I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate all Orthodox Christians on the brilliant holiday of the Epiphany, "said Grigol Nemsadze.

Within the scope of the event, Rustavi Etalion citizen was identified as the pupils of Rustavi public and private schools, their parents and teachers participated in the quiz.

Parents Giorgi Maglaperidze, parent of pupil of private school "Milenium", parent of pupils of Rustavi Public School # 9, Ketevan Jakhveladze, and the third prize-winning owner of private school "Millennium" Georgian Language and Literature The teacher became Nestan Chumburidze.
