On May 25, in Rustavi, a field meeting of the Committee on Sector Economy and Economic Policy of the Parliament of Georgia was held, where the state of development of free industrial zones was discussed.

The meeting was attended by the Governor of Kvemo Kartli, Grigol Nemsadze, Rustavi Mayor, Irakli Tabaghua and other representatives of the local government. The meeting focused on the main directions of implementation of Georgian industrial policy and mechanisms of state support.

Discussions also included tax benefits for free industrial zones, successful practices in other countries and integrated development priorities.

At the end of the meeting, the thematic discussion was held, with the representatives of the central and local authorities together with the business sector representatives.
