On May 6-12, Kvemo Kartli state attorney-governor is on an official visit to the United States.
Grigol Nemsadze, together with the heads of the Kvemo Kartli municipalities attended the 112th congress of the United States of America and the Canadian Financiers Association in St. Louis. In the scope of the visit, the Georgian delegation got acquainted with the modern systems of governance in the US and Canada's self-governments, efficiency of budgetary resources, program budgeting and internal control.
Under the guidance of the governor, Kvemo Kartli delegation members met with representatives of New York, Chicago, Portland, Toronto and other self-governments. During the meetings, the talks focused on the already implemented and planned reforms in decentralization and self-governance in Georgia.
Members of the delegation informed the American side about the tourism potential of the Kvemo Kartli region, which will be introduced to the host country by September, in the framework of the visit to Georgia in September.
Official meetings are also planned with the heads of local municipalities.
