The first phase of water supply system works in Gardabani municipality.Zurab Alavidze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Kvemo Kartli State Governor-Governor Grigol Nemsadze and Director of United Water Supply Company George Koberidze got acquainted with local municipality representatives.The project envisages several stages, after which the five villages of Gardabani municipality will have Akhalsofeli, Norio, Vaziani, Samgori and Martkopi 24 hour water supply.30 000 residents of these villages are suffering from water supply problems for years. The existing reservoirs are in an emergency and amortized condition.The first phase of the construction works, partially arranging the headwork-pumping station, collector reservoir, protective wall, borehole and collector. In addition, the chlorination and main water pipe will be made.The project is implemented by Gardabani municipality, total cost of which is 22 million GEL.The first phase of works for which 8 million GEL is allocated from the local budget will be completed by the end of the current year.
