On June 3, Marneuli municipality hosted the Tengiz Naverianan tournament in judo. At the sports complex "Ata Holding Georgia", the current club championship was attended by the state governor-Governor of Kvemo Kartli Grigol Nemsadze, deputies Aleksandre Metreveli and Zaur Dargal, as well as representatives of central and local government. The competition was organized jointly by the Georgian Judo National Federation, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Marneuli Municipality Self-Government.

Within the scope of the event, the judo boys were born in 2001-2003. During the day the competition was held in 55 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg and 73+ kg weight categories.

It should be noted that the tournament is traditional and this year it has been held for the seventh time.
