On April 23, at Rustavi Center for Civic Engagement held a public discussion on "Open Governance - Achievements and Challenges". Kakha Koberidze, deputy state attorney-governor of Kvemo Kartli attended the event together with heads of municipalities of the region. The meeting was also attended by NGOs and interested persons.
The meeting was held under the initiative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the project "Democratic Governance Initiative" (GGI). The aim of which is to develop a national action plan through listening to the views of citizens of Georgia, their ideas and recommendations. It is noteworthy that Georgia will present a draft document at the fifth Global Summit in Open Government Partnership 2018.
It is worth mentioning that the event will host Georgia on July 17-19, which will be attended by 2000 representatives of 75 countries.
