In Kvemo Kartli, the State Representative-Governor, Grigol Nemsadze hosted representatives of regional media in the regional administration and congratulated the Georgian journalism day in advance. The first party handed out symbolic gifts to journalists and talked about the importance of their activities.
Givi Jakhua, 86 years old, was a well-respected journalist of the region who has been working for more than 6 decades.
"I congratulate all journalists working in Georgia on the day of Georgian journalism, especially the representatives of Kvemo Kartli regional media. Thanks to the active regime with us all the important events taking place in the municipalities. Independent media creates a healthy public opinion, which is very important in the development of the region and the country in general. I want our cooperation to continue actively in the future, in order to do more and more good for the region, through joint efforts. I would like to thank you for your business and once again congratulate you on a professional day, "said Grigol Nemsadze, the governor of Kvemo Kartli. Georgian Journalism Day is celebrated on March 21 in Georgia. The date was established in 1993 by Georgian Federation of Journalists and Tbilisi State University.
