After 24 years, Vakhtang Gegelashvili, member of the Council of Ministers of Abkhazia transferred to Rustavi. Under the aegis of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the coordination mechanism for the discovery of missing persons in the armed conflict of 1992-1993 was created, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons and Resettlement is involved in the work.Within the framework of the coordination mechanism, 10 Georgian-Abkhazian meetings were held. As a result of the negotiations, the remains of 325 missing people were found, of which 101 were already identified. At this stage, another 25 remains have been identified.
