On July 11, the International Symposium of Sculptors was opened in Rustavi. The event was attended by the state attorney-Governor of Kvemo Kartli Grigol Nemsadze, Deputy Minister of Culture Manana Berikashvili, City Mayor Davit Jikia and Rustavi Majoritarian Giorgi Begadze attended the meeting together with other guests of the region and other municipalities. 8 Georgian and three foreigners - Spanish, French and Egyptian sculptors are participating in the symposium and their works will be located on the territory of the City Culture and Leisure Park.
Within the frames of the ceremony, Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Rustavi City Hall and Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts. It should be noted that the sculptors international symposium was held three times in the 90s of the last century and it was attended by sculptors from different countries around the world. Tradition was restored in 2016, within the framework of "Rustavi City". The event is organized by the Center of Rustavi City Hall and the Arts Union.
